FASHION IS MY CHURCH

Fashion is my church and Vogue is my bible.

Hey you guys!

Sorry I have not been posting for a VERY LONG time! Anyway I got two new shoes from the trusty Adorable Projects Indonesia. These shoes are really awesome! I am a very tall person so I decided to get these flat forms instead of heels. The shoe on the very top is called the Portobello’s. These pretty babes caught my eye due to the studs, the straps and the height of the shoes which are perfect for me. I really love how they turn out on my feet. The second shoe is called the Elbelle Black Flower. I really love the cut out on the sides of the shoes because I think that it looks different. Kind of a twist on creepers don’t you think? Anyway the service is really good! The shoe got to my apartment the next day after I ordered it and the shipping was free! I was really happy how the shoe turned out and I will be looking forward to wearing it often when I go out <3

I will be posting more now that my National Exams are over! Have a lovely week you guys! (I may be posting a SUPER LATE haul about the clothes that I got from america)

Hey its Derica! this post I will be showing you my part 1 personal February haul. These were just some pieces that I got on the month of February. The first shirt is this peach blouse that I got from cottonink-shop.com They come in different colors. The material is pretty good, comparable with its price. The second shirt is just a dark grey shirt/ blouse with gold detailing on the collar, its from pull and bear. I actually got this on December, my friend bought me this when she went to Hong Kong. I haven’t used it yet but I’m looking forward to. The 3rd shirt has blue daisy flower patterned on it. its just baby blue, it comes with different colors too. I got this from cottonink-shop.com with the peach blouse.

I’ll be posting my part 2 personal February haul soon !

Hey guys!
On friday and saturday, I went to Brightspot! After a long time patiently waiting, I finally went. To be honest, I did not really enjoy my time there because the variety of clothing this year was not as independent as ones last year and the year before that. I find that I could just buy most of the items at the Goods dept. Thats just my personal opinion. This year, I was on a $50ish budget. Managed to find some really good deals. My favorite find was a necklace from shamanistic (will be posting pictures about what I got in Brightspot)
Based on the picture above, you can tell that I went WAY overboard with my outfit of the day but who cares. I incorporated a lot of patterns because I wanted to dress a little flashy for Brightspot. For my top I wore a cropped top that I bought on the first day. This was also one of my favorite finds and I will be looking forward to wearing it often. My outerwear is from Argyle and Oxford. I got it from last years Brightspot. Argyle and Oxford has really nice stuff but sometimes they can be super pricey. For my bottoms, I wore my patterned pants from (x).s.m.l. They are super comfortable. And my shoes are basically brown ankle boots. My headpiece is from House of Jealouxy. A brand that I found when I was walking around the booths. I LOVE the store keeper. I know I always say this but hey I think I bond pretty well with them. This year if I had to rate Brightspot from 1-10, it would be 7,5. Minus points for the lack of unique clothing.
And that is it for today! For you guys who went, I would love it for you to share some pictures!

TREND REPORT!

Hey you guys! I’ve been doing a lot of researching on what is going on in the fashion world. If I had to describe the current trend in two words it would be prison break. I don’t know how but don’t you think it’s odd? They somehow remind me of beach umbrellas. Spring would be a season where soft colors are expressed and incorporated with what you are wearing. In the year of 2013, designers have been really into stripes. Not necessarily black and white but all kinds of colors. I really love the fact that they are finally breaking the chain of soft pastel colors because in my opinion pops of colors can be a teeny bit boring sometimes. On the other hand, black and white stripes I really love! I’ve been spotting really cute striped pants in Zara and I have been meaning to get them but they are way to pricey. Any recommendations? I cant wait to try to experiment with this new trend whatsoever. The pictures below are some of my personal favorites.

Hey! Its Gianti.

I have been a lover of feather accessories. I love collecting them. I have searched many stores for the right feather accessory but all have failed to impress me. Two years ago, I went to brightspot which is a market with a collection of all things cool. I was walking around and I found a really cool booth! It sold feather accessories and other cool things.

Shamanistic: Adornments + Amulets from the sky, earth and sea has never failed to impress me when it comes to feather accessories. This shop has always been reliable in so many ways. One of the many things that I love about this store is the store keeper. Her name is Tarita. She is the nicest store keeper I have ever met in my entire life. I really like brainstorming ideas with her about the custom feather pieces that I want from her. Yes, it takes quite a long time for the order to be done but you got to be patient. I promise you that you will not regret buying from her. The feathers also look really nice. They don’t look tacky at all. She always tries her best to make every piece unique. I also love the packaging. The accessories comes in a feather box which is really cute. Styling these feather accessories are also easy. My personal favorites are shown in the pictures above! One way or another I’m super positive that you can make these accessories work ;) If you live in Jakarta, come check her booth out in Brightspot! Shes doing a collaboration with another store called monstore. I’m really looking forward to that!

Here are the links to her store:

I would usually email her for custom orders. I find that way easier and I feel a lot happier with the end results. But I sorta forgot her email so try checking her facebook page :)

Brightspot will be held in Grand Indonesia Febuary 14th - 17th (I think) I would really recommend you to go. They have really cool stuff!

I hope you all had a great day!

Hey everyone, it’s Karisa! Today I have a nails of the day post to show you all! This is a first for the blog ;)

So today I wanted to play more with striping tape because it creats really neat designs. I painted my nails with Orly’s Bonder base coat and then 2 coats of Chanel’s Diwali, which is a gorgeous pale gold metallic color. Then I created the designs using the striping tape using cuticle nippers to cut off the tape when I needed to and I painted over the tape with the green color which is Don’t Mess With OPI from (obviously) OPI. It’s quite opaque so it almost only took 1 coat to cover everything with the gold underneath. I took the tape off carefully with tweezers and then voila, my designs were made! I finished everything off with Orly’s In a Snap quick dry top coat. Working with striping tape is quite difficult if you aren’t used to it because it really is very tiny and it does require a lot of time and patience but if you have enough of that, the results are totally worth it! That’s it for the blog’s first nails of the day post, I hope you enjoyed the design that I created as much as I do.

Have a lovely week everyone!

Hey it’s Derica! So Gianti, Karisa and I had a photoshoot. Since it’s our 1st official photo shoot we decided to have no theme. In the photo shoot I am using an American Apparel crop shirt that I got from my trip to Paris during the summer of 2012 and a black velvet high waist A line skirt from Topshop. While my shoes are from H&M and the grey socks as well. Well I really like this outfit because its casual, comfortable and it looks nice too. Wait for my next post soon!

Love, Derica :)

Hey! It’s Gianti again!

Today Derica, Karisa and I had a little photo shoot with our very favourite and trusty photographer Natalie Djuhandi. We had a lot of fun and managed to take nice pictures. For this shoot, I decided to wear my two toned blouse from (X).S.M.L. (X).S.M.L is an Indonesian brand. I usually buy most of my necklaces there because they have really nice designs which explains the necklace that I am wearing. My velvet skirt is from Topshop and it was on discount so I decided to get it. My shoes are from a local Indonesian brand called Adorable Projects. I really like their shop and I get most of my shoes there. The person who manages the store is really nice and I really recommend for you to check out their online store on Facebook. Posts of Derica and Karisa will be uploaded very soon!

Hello, it’s Karisa here! This is actually my first proper post :p

Today, the three of us took some photos and here is my outfit. I paired a vintage polkadot blouse (hand me downs from my mom!) with a leather skirt from H&M and I wore Chanel flatforms. I got these black tie-up flatforms in Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City when I was visiting the USA during the summer of 2011. They had a sale there and I got the flatforms there—on sale! I love them because they’re black (aka goes with everything), they’re flat but they’re tall and they’re Chanel! The flatforms are technically my sister’s but since she’s in New York, I’m free to use them :p

My accessories include a leopard ring from Aldo (looks like Cartier’s panther ring, no? :p), a necklace from Stradivarius and Ray-Bans. The glasses and ring are my sister’s (see, I told you I wear a LOT of my sister’s things).

I also decked out my nails in graphic designs using striping tape that just arrived yesterday! I’ll save them for another post.

I am also wearing red lipstick in these pictures because I feel like it would suit the outfit because it kind of has a retro feel with the polkadots and the Ray-Bans. It’s not actually lipstick, all of it is lip liner! I wanted a matte red lip because I love matte lipstick and I wanted something quite dry because I didn’t want my hair to be stuck on my lips the whole time (although some people don’t like drying lipstick because it tends to be unforgiving on chapped lips). The lip liner is by Make Up Factory. It doesn’t have a name, just a number which is #74 but it’s just a matte warm-toned red lip liner with a slight silver shimmer (although still matte).

Thank you for reading this post and have a great weekend everyone!
